Bayern Munich won the 2020 German Super Cup by beating Borussia Dortmund in a five-goal thriller.
Corentin Tolisso gave the Bavarians the lead in the 18th minute, and Thomas Muller doubled it in the 32nd. Julian Brandt struck in the 39th to give Dortmund some hope, and Erling Haaland brought them on level terms in the 55th. The Norwegian striker then had a glorious chance to put his team in front, but a fantastic save by Bayern’s Manuel Neuer denied him that pleasure before a slightly fortunate 82nd-minute finish by Joshua Kimmich won the game for the Bundesliga champions.
