90′ + 3′ FULL-TIME: CHELSEA 3-0 WEST HAM

90′ + 2′ The tempo of the game has dropped now as Chelsea keep the ball, and the visitors have lost the will to press them with any sort of intensity.

90′ Moyes looks to do some damage control as he replaces right-winger Bowen with a right-back in Fredericks for the remainder of the game.

88′ CROSSBAR! Kante surges into the final third and threads a lovely pass through to Werner on the right. The German smashes a shot towards the near post, but it rattles the crossbar and stays out! He absolutely hammered that effort!

86′ Chelsea have netted three goals against West Ham in a Premier League meeting for the first time since November 2013, in a 3-0 win under Jose Mourinho.

84′ Pulisic is withdrawn for the closing stages of the game, with Havertz coming on out wide in his place.

82′  Abraham has scored his first brace for Chelsea across all competitions since September 2019 (a hat-trick against Wolves), with just 101 seconds separating his two finishes.

80′ GOAL!!! IT’S 3-0 TO CHELSEA!!! Pulisic drives to the edge of the box and offloads to Mount on the left. The youngster cross back into the middle for Pulisic, whose header is somehow kept out at point-blank range, but Abraham is in the right position to lash home from a tight angle!

78′ Werner drove at the West Ham defence and cut onto his favoured right foot before playing a low, driven pass through to Abraham in a position he could hardly miss from!

78′ GOAL!! ABRAHAM MAKES IT 2-0!! Werner cuts in from the left and fires a low ball towards Abraham in the box. The West Ham defence all step up to catch him offside – all except Cresswell, who isn’t in sync with his team-mates and plays the striker on, allowing him to poke the ball past Fabianski and in!

75′ Mount wants a penalty as he goes down in the box after attempting a one-two, but the young midfielder ran into the back of Coufal and the referee indicates there was no foul.

73′ The ball is floated into the Chelsea box from the right and is headed back across goal, but Mendy uses his height and reach to pluck the ball out of the air and put a stop to the danger.

71′ Balbuena’s attempted headed clearance is inadvertently backwards and Werner nips in to try and capitalise, but Fabianski is off his line quickly to deal with the danger.

69′ There’s a bit of pinball in the Chelsea box as the Blues defence scrambles to deal with a ball into the box, but it’s eventually hacked clear and the hosts survive.

S. Benrahma

Pablo Fornals

67′ Moyes responds by making his first alteration, bringing Fornals off for the pace and trickery of Benrahma on the left.

66′ Lampard makes his second change of the night as Jorginho is replaced by Kovacic in midfield. Perhaps the Chelsea boss is protecting his player after his earlier knock.

64′ BLOCK! The ball is worked out to Fornals on the left and the Spaniard hits a sweet effort towards goal, but Azpilicueta bravely intervenes to block it away! That had some real power behind it!

63′ WIDE! Thiago Silva wants a penalty as he goes down in the box after meeting another Mount corner with his head, but this time it’s wide at the near post. The defender was being closely marked by two Hammers defenders, but there was no foul and the referee waves the Brazilian’s appeals away.

61′ West Ham are yet to record a shot on target in this game. They’ve had five attempts, but are yet to force Mendy into a save.

59′ OVER! Bowen is felled on the wing and West Ham have a free-kick in a promising position. It’s whipped into the box and Ogbonna meets it in the middle, but his header hits Thiago Silva and deflects over the bar! The visitors are furious, however, as the referee awards a goal-kick to Chelsea!

56′ West Ham were the 20th and final side to concede from a set-piece in the Premier League this season (excluding penalties).

54′ West Ham win their second corner of the game, but it’s comfortably defended by Chelsea. The Hammers have plenty of height in their side and could use a few more set-pieces to threaten the Blues.

52′ Fabianski has stayed on after his treatment and appears to be able to continue. He’s moving freely and his knock doesn’t seem serious.

50′ Abraham is released down the right and he bursts away before fizzing a low ball across goal for Werner. The German slides in but can’t quite get there and ends up catching Fabianski, who is down in pain and requires medical attention.

48′ WIDE! Bowen holds Mount off and cuts inside before switching the play to Cresswell on the left. The defender whips a cross into the box that Haller rises highest to meet, but he can only nod well wide of the target!

46′ We’re back underway for the second half!

Chelsea have dominated the ball and lead at the break but there hasn’t been too much between these two sides in terms of chances, and the Hammers might count themselves unfortunate not to be on the scoresheet. Moyes won’t be too unhappy with his side have performed and will hope for a little more luck in the second half. The hosts, meanwhile, will look to really stamp their authority on proceedings after the break and ensure they stay ahead.

There goes the half-time whistle! Thiago Silva put Chelsea in front with a powerful header from a Mount corner just 10 minutes into the contest and the Blues saw a second ruled out as the ball was deemed to have gone out of play in the build-up. West Ham had two goals of their own disallowed, one for a fractional offside call and the other for a foul, meaning it’s 1-0 to Chelsea at the break.

45′ + 3′ HALF-TIME: CHELSEA 1-0 WEST HAM

45′ + 2′ Jorginho is back on the field and it looks like he’s shaken off that knock. He’ll last until the half-time whistle at the very least.

45′ Jorginho lands awkwardly as he jumps to head the ball and the medical team are out to attend to him. There’s some concern on the Chelsea bench as they contemplate the possibility of being forced into a second early change.

43′ SAVE! Pulisic drives through the centre to the edge of the box, drawing the attention of three defenders, before offloading to Werner on the left, but the German’s low drive is too central and Fabianski saves!

41′ The game goes through a slightly scrappy spell as neither side is able to make the most of the stretched pitch and possession is given away cheaply a number of times.

39′ The game is starting to get very stretched as West Ham’s front line press high but without the support of their team-mates. Lots of space is opening up in the middle to be exploited.

37′ West Ham waste a promising position as Noble lays the ball back for Coufal on the right in acres of space, but the right-back massively overhits his cross and sends it sailing behind for a goal-kick. He had time and space to pick out a good ball and had to do better there.

35′ Soucek receives a headed pass from Coufal on the right side of the box and lashes a shot at goal, but it’s charged down and blocked away.

33′ Thiago Silva is winded as he blocks a volleyed cross with his stomach. The Brazilian is down as he catches his breath, but he should be able to carry on after a few moments of respite.

31′ Kante leads a Chelsea counter and finds Pulisic, who jinks past a couple of defenders on the edge of the box but just overruns it as he gets into the area and it rolls behind for a goal-kick.

29′ NO GOAL! The ball is in the back of the net once again as Haller heads to Soucek, who nods into the box for Bowen and the winger fends off Thiago Silva before steering the bouncing ball past the onrushing Mendy, but the whistle goes for a foul on the Chelsea centre-half! The hosts have gotten away with that one!

27′ CHANCES! A cross from the left finds Haller in the box and he steers a header towards the far corner, but Zouma turns it behind for a corner. The resulting delivery eventually falls to Soucek, but he blazes over the bar!

24′ WIDE! Azpilicueta allows Bowen’s pass to slip under his boot and Cresswell picks it up on the left side of the box. The left-back lashes the ball across goal, but nobody is there to turn it in and it’s just wide of the post!

22′ West Ham win a free-kick on the right wing as Bowen is fouled. They throw bodies forward and the delivery is dangerous, but Chelsea clear and the Hammers have to get back to prevent the Blues from countering.

20′ Chelsea win another corner and work it short, but they can’t craft a shooting opportunity and West Ham break down the right through Haller, but he’s dispossessed as he reaches the box.

18′ Chelsea are unbeaten in their previous 31 Premier League games at Stamford Bridge when opening the scoring (W24 D7). Can they extend that run tonight?

16′ NO GOAL! Azpilicueta thinks he’s kept the ball in play on the right and it’s worked to Abraham in the middle, who fires into an empty net, but the flag goes up and the ball is deemed to have gone out for a goal-kick earlier in the move!

14′ CHANCE! Mount pops up on the right and drives a low ball across the face of goal, but Werner is back on his heels and can’t get the decisive touch to tap it in at the back post! What a let-off for West Ham!

12′ Chelsea have scored more goals from corners than any other team in the Premier League this season (8), with three of these goals being headers from Mount assists.

10′ Mount, on his 50th Premier League appearance, grabs an assist as Thiago Silva met his corner with plenty of power and purpose.

10′ GOAL!! CHELSEA TAKE THE LEAD!! Mount swings in a corner from the right and Thiago Silva makes a late run into the box, completely losing his marker and powering a free header in from six yards out! It’s 1-0 to Chelsea!

10′ That change is now made, with Emerson replacing the stricken Chilwell at left-back.

9′ Chilwell, having come back onto the field, is now down on the turf again and it looks like he won’t be able to continue.

7′ NO GOAL! Rice latches onto a quick free-kick just inside the box and rounds Edouard before slotting home from a tight angle, but the flag is up for offside! Replays show that it was a very tight call, but Rice’s arm was slightly beyond the last defender. VAR won’t be overturning the linesman’s decision there.

5′ Play is stopped as Chilwell writhes in pain on the ground. The left-back twisted his ankle when challenging for the ball a few moments ago and is being treated by the medical staff. Emerson is warming up just in case.

3′ Mount’s left-wing cross is cleared to the edge of the box where Jorginho is lurking, and the midfielder takes a touch before lashing at goal, but he gets under the effort and sends it high over the bar.

1′ We’re underway at Stamford Bridge!

Moyes has never won a Premier League match at Stamford Bridge (P15 D7 L8) – the only instance in Premier League history of a manager taking charge of more games at a stadium without winning is Moyes himself at Anfield (16 games).

Mount is making his 50th Premier League appearance for Chelsea tonight, becoming the youngest English player (21y 346d) to reach this milestone for the club since John Terry in January 2002 (21y 36d).

Meanwhile, David Moyes makes just one alteration to the West Ham line-up he named in the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace in their last fixture. Noble is picked ahead of Benrahma, who drops to the bench. Michail Antonio, Arthur Masuaku and Manuel Lanzini all miss out through injury.

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard makes three changes following his side’s 2-1 defeat against Wolves last time out. Azpilicueta comes in for the injured Reece James at right-back, Jorginho replaces Havertz in midfield and Abraham starts over Giroud up front. Hakim Ziyech is sidelined with a thigh problem.

West Ham substitutes: Issa Diop, Robert Snodgrass, David Martin, Ryan Fredericks, Ben Johnson, Said Benrahma, Darren Randolph, Andriy Yarmolenko, Craig Dawson.

West Ham XI (4-3-3): Lukasz Fabianski; Vladimir Coufal, Fabian Balbuena, Angelo Ogbonna, Aaron Cresswell; Mark Noble, Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek; Jarrod Bowen, Sebastien Haller, Pablo Fornals.

Chelsea substitutes: Kepa Arrizabalaga, Antonio Rudiger, Olivier Giroud, Emerson, Kai Havertz, Mateo Kovacic, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Billy Gilmour, Andreas Christensen.

Chelsea XI (4-3-3): Edouard Mendy; Cesar Azpilicueta, Kurt Zouma, Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell; N’Golo Kante, Jorginho, Mason Mount; Christian Pulisic, Tammy Abraham, Timo Werner.

Eighth-placed Chelsea and 10th-placed West Ham are separated by just one point going into tonight’s London derby, and a win for either would lift them to within touching distance of the top four.
