The NFL weather forecast is getting a bit more interesting this week. As a cold front moves across the country, wind could be an issue for a handful of games, including Buccaneers-Broncos and Rams-Bills. Fantasy football owners will want to double-check the forecast updates before locking in their start ’em, sit ’em decisions, especially when it comes to kickers.

Before we get into the Week 3 forecasts, we’d be remiss if we didn’t point out that if you have any questions about sports weather or how weather could impact play (and, potentially, your fantasy, DFS, and gambling decisions), don’t hesitate to reach out to Rotogrinders’ meteorologist Kevin Roth on Twitter (@KevinRothWx) or check out the hourly NFL weather forecasts on RotoGrinders. NFL Week 3 weather updates

Forecasts courtesy for Kevin Roth at RotoGrinders.

Washington @ Browns. There will likely be winds in the 10-15 mph range. That’s not enough to have any real impact, and I don’t recommend you make any lineup changes based on it.

Rams @ Bills. Expect sustained winds a bit over 15 mph with gusts around 25 mph. We could see a few longer throws and kicks impacted. Unless you love the spot for kickers or have no other options, I would look elsewhere in the kicking game.

Buccaneers @ Broncos. This game will likely feature sustained winds around 20 mph with gusts closer to 30. This should have a negative impact on the passing and kicking games. If other similar options are available, I would recommend avoiding QBs, deep threats, and kickers. On the flip side, if you have a stud player in this game (like a Mike Evans), I don’t think you can or should fade him even with the ugly weather.
